Cloé Kerhoas

Based between Turkey and France, I am a freelance photography editor, educator, curator and photo consultant developing international projects.

I studied Cinema, History and obtained a Master degree dedicated to the protection and the conservation of the Cultural Heritage.

I worked as exhibition coordinator at Mémorial de Caen, the biggest museum dedicated to contemporary armed conflicts. There, I was also in charge of organising the prestigious Human Rights Competition. I then worked at Christian Dior Museum and in Normandy Art and History Museum as cultural project manager. In 2014, I worked for the Prix Bayeux of War Correspondents.

From 2015 to 2019, I worked as Co-Director & Photo Editor at Agence Le Journal, a photography collective founded by Emin Özmen.

Since then, I keep dedicating my life to storytelling and documentary projects. I am the long-term collaborator of Magnum Photos photographer Emin Özmen. I mostly make researches, write, edit and distribute his projects. I also work with him on the field on specific projects. I collaborated on a number of award-winning photo series. Emin and I are recipient of a National Geographic explorer 2020-2021 grant. 

Curious and passionate, I also work with other photographers, accompanying them in their projects and distributing them. Since 2020, I have been a member of the editorial board of Revue Epic, a photo magazine.

I enjoy teaching, mentoring and helping photographers to develop their creativity through workshops and portfolio reviews in order to boost their careers. I've led visual storytelling workshops for Magnum Photos and Speos (London-Paris Photography School).

I collaborate with top magazines and newspapers such as Le Monde Magazine, Time, Der Spiegel, The British Journal of Photography, L'Obs, Courrier International, Newsweek, Libération, CNN, Al Jazeera, among others.

I curate international exhibitions and publications such as « Woman Middle East » pages of « Visa Paper », a journal that celebrates work made all over the world by female photographers.

I speak French (my mother language), English, understand Spanish and have a basic level of Turkish.
